Ceramics
La Cartuja de Cazalla has a professional artist studio with a potter's wheel
and an electric oven for ceramics. The workshops will be given by the resident
artist of La Cartuja or by Ángeles, a ceramics artist from Cazalla de la Sierra.
The beginners workshop starts with learning how to knead the clay. This is very
important, to get rid of small air bubbles in the material. Then you will learn
how to work the turn table and later on in the workshop you will make and paint
tiles, using pure pigments.
This programme can always be adapted to your wishes or to your level of
experience.
A ceramics workshop is also big fun for children!
Minimum number of participants is two, but the ceramics workshops can also be
done by one. Then you will have to pay a supplement.
