Painting
The painting courses and the workshops for children will be given by Enrica or
by Manolo, both living in Cazalla de la Sierra, or by guest teachers.
One of the guest teachers is the german artist Christiane Buchwald, who will
come to La Cartuja from October 16 to 23, 2010: "Das Licht des Südens, die
warmen Farben Andalusiens un das antike Kloster schaffen eine aussergewöhnliche
Atmosphäre, um den eigenen künstlerischen Weg zu entwickeln, zu neuen
Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten zu gelangen. Der Ort schenkt uns eine unerschöpfliche
Vielfalt von Motiven für Skizzen und Fotografien. Die so festgehaltenen
Eindrücke setzen wir in den Räumen un Gärten des Kosters in Malerei um. Richtung
un Ergebnis der Arbeiten bleiben dabei offen, so dass sich aus der Malerei
sowohl realistische wie auch abstrahierende Bilder entwickeln können."

If the weather is nice, and often this is the case, we go outside to work.
However, if it rains, you will work in the profesional artist's studio of the
old Monastery.
Things you may want to take with you. Not compulsory, just handy:
- old clothes or apron
- portfolio or case (to take home your paintings)
- a little rucksack or suitcase to take materials with you when working outside
-- if you have your own drawing or painting materials that you like to use, of
course you are welcome to take them with you.
